En la medida que los avances médicos y tecnológicos comienzan a ayudar a las personas con movilidad restringida a encontrar una solución satisfactoria a su limitación, toma mayor fuerza la necesidad de trabajar su integración social. La falta de experiencias significativas en materia de contacto con la naturaleza y socialización en campamentos, limita el desarrollo de habilidades personales y sociales de una parte importante de la población con discapacidad de nuestro país, siendo estas actividades instancias que contribuyen decididamente al desarrollo intelectual, social y espiritual de estas personas.
